My work as a cosmetic surgeon means I perform a wide variety of procedures and treatments at my clinic in Blackrock. With each patient, whether they are looking for a cosmetic procedure such as rhinoplasty, a facelift (rhytidectomy), abdominoplasty (a tummy tuck), or breast augmentation, non-invasive treatments such as dermal fillers, injectables or thread lift, the main objective for me is to ensure that my patients are satisfied with every aspect of their procedure and experience.

As such, I am delighted to have been awarded the WhatClinic 2017 Patient Service Award for great customer service.

Based on scores generated from a combination of reviews, feedback and other customer information, my clinic is now ranked in the top 5% in my industry, and I am proud to have provided such rewarding outcomes to so many of my patients.

Customer service is such an important part of what I do. Making sure the patient is comfortable, informed about the procedure they are considering, outlining in a friendly and professional manner what they can hope to achieve and what they need to know about every step of the procedure from preparation to aftercare – all of this is essential to choosing the right cosmetic surgeon for you.

Trust plays an enormous part in the process, and my accreditation with FRCSI(Plast) qualifications and my inclusion on the Specialist Register in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Medical Council means patients can feel at ease, knowing they are choosing a highly- qualified and skilled surgeon to undertake the procedure they want.

To achieve the best results for my patients, I also look beyond Ireland and went abroad to the prestigious Ronald Reagan Medical Center, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to acquire the latest plastic and reconstructive surgical skillsets. Notably, the opportunity to work with many leading Los Angeles Plastic Surgeons who are affiliated to UCLA enabled me to have the most in-depth understanding of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.

Our facilities at Blackrock Clinic are second to none, having Joint Commission International accreditation, considered the gold standard in global health care.

At an initial consultation, I will always take the first step of listening to the patient to understand fully why they want the procedure they are considering, and will only then openly and honestly give my advice on what will work best for them. Self-confidence is important for everybody, and I strive to produce the results that will give my patients increased self-esteem concerning their body.

I explain fully what a particular procedure involves, how it will be done, and what the outcome will be, but always emphasise the fact that the procedures I provide are not designed to produce perfection, but an enhanced version of a patient’s own natural beauty. I will also answer any questions the patient has, and will give them all the information they need so that they can dispel any myths or concerns they might have about cosmetic surgery.

This helps to develop realistic expectations for the patient, which I believe plays an important part in customer satisfaction.

It is also important for me, and for the patient, to offer a cooling off period during which they can decide whether they want to go ahead with the procedure. I always want my patients to feel comfortable with their decision to choose me as their cosmetic surgeon.

I use the latest technology to illustrate exactly what can be done for a patient, always striving to enhance the patient’s experience and understanding. In the case of ear correction, for instance, I utilise an innovative new technique called EarFold System that allows patients to see what can be achieved before the procedure is done, while my use of the Crisalix 3D simulation app and VR Goggles means patients considering breast augmentation can not only see detailed images of various levels of enhancement, but also view how these will look on their body, from every angle.

Great customer service does not only lie with me though.
